Garland GIR60 Description

Great for finishing dishes, the Garland GIR60 salamander broiler can be used to brown and caramelize meats. Although this unit supports high-heat cooking, it is also compatible with smaller tasks such as cheese melting and bread toasting. In the cavity, two infrared burners provide heat, and operators can adjust the heat level from low to high with valve controls. The rack assembly is adjustable on a three-position guide to support different types of food.

This Garland GIR60 gas salamander broiler fits on the back of a 60-inch Garland range. The 351/2-inch-wide broiler unit is positioned on the left side of the flue riser with a 24-inch-wide shelf on the right. Positioning this broiler on an existing range maximizes flexibility in a kitchen without taking up additional space. This equipment uses LP gas, so it is most compatible with ranges that also use that gas type. When the broiler is operating, the heat shield in the bottom prevents excess heat from making the area around the range uncomfortable.
