For durability, the evaporator is nickel plated and the exterior is made of resilient, rust-resistant stainless steel. This unit can create 1,210 to 1,560 pounds of half-size ice cubes per day, depending on ambient temperatures and other operating conditions.

To retrieve ice, the Ice-O-Matic CIM1446HA/B1600-60 half-cube ice maker's bin has a heavy-duty door that can be opened with one hand and stays open to prevent it from slamming shut on employees. The bin's poly liner resists corrosion and an ice shield controls the flow of ice to prevent it from spilling.
